End of the season

Rehearsals in the spectacular Teatro di San Carlo, Napoli

Dear friends,

The last two months have been incredibly intense and rewarding. Highlights were my debuts at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and at Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile, as well as my residency in Siena and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Anniversary Weekend at the Wigmore Hall. I have also finally finished filming the conversations for my project “The Art of Fugue Explored”, and am working towards a release in Autumn.

This season approaches its end, and I look forward to time off in the summer for practicing and resting. Here are the few concerts where you will find me in the summer:

June 22 - Milano, Villa Necchi Campiglio, on which occasion I will also receive the Franco Buitoni Award

June 27 - Ravenna, Teatro Alighieri, Beethoven Triple Concerto

July 8 - Orta San Giulio

July 23 - London, Bach, The Art of Fugue, at Wigmore Hall

August 22 - Bassano del Grappa

September 1, 2 & 3 - PlayEtna, chamber music residency at the Girolamo Russo Winery

During my residency in Siena I felt extremely fulfilled. Instead of spending days in airports and planes, I was at the piano from morning to night, performing, practicing, teaching. I wish nothing more than to devote my time to music and to others in this way, and this experience paves the way for my Sonata for 7 Cities project. Next season there will be a lot to look out for: more short residencies, the release of my Bach interviews, and many concerts - including my debut recital in Teatro alla Scala in May 2024.

Goodbye for now, and enjoy the summer!

Yours,

Filippo

ps. I published a video recording of Janácek and Beethoven here. Enjoy!
