Joseph Haydn

Symphony no. 88 in G major

In his monumental work (104 symphonies) sets Haydn priorities, which are a sign of the progressive maturity. This symphony is one such focus. Haydn's work is a turning point in terms of instrumentation and expansion vocal themes as in the 2nd sentence of the grand entrance of the cello.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Piano Concerto no. 20 in D minor, K. 466

It is probably the most famous and occupies a key position. Mozart is breaking new ground. He begins with the symbiosis of Piano Concerto and Symphony. The piano is the obbligato instrument, the soloist is no longer a brilliant loner with dienendem orchestra but out upscale ensemble member.

Franz Schubert

Symphony no. 6 in C major D 589

Called it is the "little C Major" in contrast to the "big C major," the symphony with the "heavenly lengths". Exuberance and capricious invasions are the external feature, inwardness is also here Schubert's very own domain. The last sentence could be discussed with Rossini.
